Followup Meeting - December 4 from 12-3PM for 12th VPA National Convention

A brief summary of yesterdays meeting held at Dr. Gayathri Prabhakar's house. The following peopled attended the meeting:

Dr. Sreenivas and Meena Gowda gave their update over the phone. Dr. Gayathri Prabhakar took notes and shall send out the minutes of the meeting later.
I would like to remind everyone about some of the action items we generated:

• Each Committee Chair shall send the list of their committee members either to me or Gayathri by Thursday (Dec 9). Please send the latest list and we can add more later. We need this for uploading the information to the website.
• Publicity Committee (Srisai Gowda) has accepted the challenge to activate the convention website by this Saturday (Dec 11). In the first round of upload, we plan to have Convention details, Committee lists, and Sponsoring/fundraising document.
• Convention Treasurer, Nagaraj Reddi, shall open a bank account at Capital One by the end of this week.
• Gayathri is organizing a visit to Sheraton Baltimore City Center this Saturday, preferably around 2PM. She will send an email once it is confirmed.

We kicked off the fund-raising on the day of meeting. We have four slabs: Platinum ($5,000.00), Diamond ($3,500.00), Gold ($2,500.00), and Silver ($1,000.00) sponsorships. We have some good news to share with you - we got pledges for One-Platinum, One-Gold, and Six-Silver.

Last but not the least, on behalf of all attendees we thank Gayathri and Prabhakar for hosting the meeting and all families who brought delicious food to share.
