Followup Meeting - February 5, 2011 from 12-3PM for 12th VPA National Convention

Here is a brief summary of the meeting held on Feb 5, 2011 at Dr. Anasuya Swamy's house.
The following peopled attended the meeting:

Dr. Anasuya Swamy, Dr. Seetharam Gowda, Mr. Nagaraj Reddi, Dr. Gopala Krishna, Mr. Pabhu Gowda, Mr. Sreeranga Shivaiah, Mrs. Swarup Gowda, Mr. Muddappa Rangappa, Mrs. Nalini Anjanappa, Dr. Anuradha Reddy, Dr. Namratha Swamy, Mrs. Bhagya Rangappa, Mr. Prabhakar, Mr. Ramesh Reddy, Dr. Gayathri Prabhakar, Dr. M. Anjanappa, Mr. Narayana Swamy, Mr. Krishna Reddy, Mrs. Padmini Reddy, Ms. Meena Gowda, Dr. Srisai Gowda and Mrs. Sujatha Gowda participated over the phone.

The following committee chairs gave the updates:

• Program Committee by Dr. Seetharam Gowda
• CME committee by Dr. Anuradha Reddy -- "Great job from Ganesh for the wonderful title page with kannada header"
• Finance Committee by Dr. Gopala Krishna
• Facilities Committee by Mr. Ramesh Reddy
• Food Committee by Mr. Prabhu Gowda
• Publicity Committee by Dr. Srisai Gowda
• Reception and Registration Committee by Ms. Sujatha Gowda
• Women's Forum Committee by Ms. Meena Gowda

It was approved to add a bronze sponsor category for $500.00.

Action Items:

• Send the names of potential Chief Guest names to Anjanappa/Gayathri, preferably before Feb 12. Please include a brief biodata if available.
• Srisai and Sreeranga have agreed to upload the registration form by Feb 15. Soon after it should be available for registration on-line. Nagaraj has taken the responsibility to coordinate the on-line registration logistics.
• Ramesh will get a third quote and present the alternatives for Audio/video supplier
• Gopalakrishna will come up with a list of potentilal sponsors and the specific person to call each potential sponsor. Gopalakrishna has agreed to send the list of potential donors and who should call them by Feb 12. We should start calling potential sponsors immediately after.

Last but not the least, we thank the hosts SWAMY's and the many attendees who brought delicious dishes to share.
