The Business Forum at the 11th VPA is a 3-hour program. Its goal is two fold.
First purpose is to provide an opportunity to learn and discuss various topics including
starting a successful business, entrepreneurship, as well as franchising in America.
Resources needed to run a business, like, drawing up a business plan, obtaining
Venture Capital, hiring and management of staff and so on will be a focus of the
talks.
Secondly, to structure a platform for the Association Members to be able to network,
trade and for a mutual mentorship. There are plans to make this an ongoing commitment
through a Website portal linked to myvpa.org.
We are very proud of the achievements of fellow Vokkaligas as Business Professionals
including CEO’s of large corporations, Board Directors, Owners and Venture Capitalists.
These successful members are part of our Guest speakers. There are plans to include
eminent speakers from India.
Articles related to Business and Success is being accepted to “The 2009 Vishwamanava
- Business Section”. Please contact me if you are interested.
I also encourage you to advertise in this publication and/or become a Corporate
Sponsor.
In short this will be an exciting forum to attend during your visit. Please show
us your support by enrolling in this program. We will make every effort to make
your attendance worthwhile!
DR. MADAIAH REVANA
Dr. Madaiah Revana grew up in rural India
near the city of Bangalore where his family has been farming for generations. Dr.
Revana balances a successful practice as a cardiologist in Houston, Texas with his
commitment to winemaking. In 1997, while visiting the Napa Valley, Dr. Revana discovered
a small parcel of prime vineyard land just north of the town of St. Helena. He immediately
sensed the property’s potential and thus began the now famous Revana Winery. His
love for both wine and the rich tradition and culture of winemaking led him first
to develop his estate Cabernet property in Napa Valley and then Alexana in Oregon’s
Dundee Hills.
