1. Final Decisions: All decisions by the VVS 2025 Core Committee are final.
  2. Registration: Every participant must be registered for VVS 2025.
  3. Presentation Requirements: Presentations must be in Kannada or related to Karnataka.
  4. Form Submission:
    • Complete the entry form (Google form link: https://forms.gle/8C14DACwqHcNMV2y8).
    • Submit an artist/group profile and a detailed write-up of the presentation.
    • Optional: Include reviews of past performances, media coverage, photographs, etc.
  1. Participation Limit: Each participant can join a maximum of 2 programs. Coordinate with the VVS 2025 Entertainment Committee for scheduling.
  2. Material Submission: All submitted materials, including videos and links, will not be returned and will be destroyed after the program.
  3. Time Slot: The VVS 2025 Programs Committee will assign your time slot and duration.
  4. Stage Assignments: Managed by the VVS 2025 Entertainment Committee.
  5. Costumes and Makeup: Artists are responsible for their own costumes and makeup.
  6. Expenses: All expenses are to be borne by the artists.
  7. Stage Setup: Groups must set up and clear the stage within 5 minutes. Additional time must be discussed with the Program Committee.
  8. Music: Must be professionally recorded.
  9. Age Requirement: Minimum age for participants is 6 (under age kids need approval).
  10. Props: Must be approved by the VVS 2025 Entertainment Committee.
  11. Prohibited Items: No flammable objects, weapons, vermillion (gulaal), or any dangerous items.
  12. Program Description: Provide a brief description for compering.
  13. Duration: Includes prop setup, removal, and artist entry/exit times.
  14. Application Deadline: 02/28/25
  15. Selection Notification: Decisions will be communicated by 03/15/25.

ENTRY SUBMISSION GUIDELINES 

Skit: 

  • The skit  content should be original and relevant to the VVS 2025 theme
  • Skit should be engaging and logically organized
  • The performance should flow smoothly with minimal pauses.
  • Avoid violence, inappropriate language, or actions

Drama: 

  • Include the script, author name, and a list of probable participants.
  • The script should contain the play’s title, a brief description, a list of characters, and acts/scenes.
  • The drama can be a comedy, social, or any non-controversial theme
  • Maximum allowed stage performance time is 40 minutes.
  • All entries will be reviewed , selected and final decision by the Entertainment Committee.
  • Up to 3 dramas will be selected for performance.
  • Preference will be given to entries not performed in previous shows.
  • Selected entries will be notified by March 15th.

Dance: 

  • Details should  Include the dance performance title, a brief description, and a list of participants.
  • Provide the choreographer’s /program Director name and contact information.
  • List all dancers, including their roles and any alternates.
  • Video Submission: Provide a video link (YouTube or Vimeo) of the proposed performance or rehearsal footage.
  • The dance can be of any style but should align with the VVS2025  event’s theme.
  • Maximum allowed stage time for group performance  is 15 min.
  • Music is appropriate and free of explicit content. Provide a copy of the music file .
  • All entries will be reviewed by a panel of judges ,selected and final decision by the Entertainment Committee.
  • Minimal setup time is allowed. Ensure all props are safe and manageable
  • Selected performances will be notified by the specified deadline.
  • Maintain professionalism and avoid inappropriate language or actions during the performance. Selected entries  will be notified by March 15th.

Fashion Show:

  • Detailed Script including the overall theme of the fashion show designs and presentation.
  • Provide a choreographer who manages  fashion walks and transitions.
  • Participant  list, minimum 10 participants required.
  • Up to 3 Fashion groups  will be selected for performance.
  • Preference will be given to entries not performed in previous shows.
  • Selected entries  will be notified by March 15th.

Kids Program:

  • Kids program categories are : Dance, Drama, Music and Fancy Dress.
  • Max duration for each category is Dance: 5 mins, Drama: 10 mins, Music: 5 to 10 mins, Fancy Dress: 2 mins.
  • For the Music category please provide a detailed description of the concept and performance must be in line with the theme. Indicate whether live instrumentation or backing track of instruments will be used. With live instrumentation, maximum duration can be 10mins.
  • For the Fancy Dress category, participants should dress in costumes that reflect the cultural traditions, historical figures or artistic expressions in line with the theme. Costumes can be inspired by folklore, festivals, traditional attire or significant cultural symbols. Each participant is allowed a maximum of 2mins for their performance/presentation. Participants are welcome to perform alone or in a group.
  • Minimum age of participants is 6. Note: Participants under 6 may be included in the program with prior review and approval from the Kid’s Entertainment Committee Lead.
  • A minimum of 10 participants for Drama or Dance and a minimum of 6 participants for Musical performance. No minimum number of participants is mandated for Fancy Dress participation.
  • Provide the list of participants with their age.
  • Each participant can only be in a max of 2 programs.
  • The program submission will undergo a review process to maintain quality and consistency.
  • All props used must be approved by the committee. Use of flammable objects, weapons is strictly prohibited.
  • Decision will be communicated by March 15th.
