President's Message

Dear VPA Family,

On behalf of the National Vokkaligara Parishat of America (VPA), I extend my warmest wishes to you and your family for a very Happy Makara Sankranti.

It is my honor and gratitude to share that I have been elected as the President of the National Vokkaligara Parishat of America for the 2026-2027 term, along with my Executive Team and Board of Trustees. This announcement was made during the 18th National VPA Convention, held in July 2025 in San Jose.

As the Sun enters the sign of Makara, symbolizing renewal, hope, and brighter beginnings, I pray that this auspicious occasion brings peace, prosperity, and abundant goodness into your life-dispelling darkness and illuminating the path ahead with renewed light and optimism.

Makara Sankranti is also a time to reflect on and reaffirm our commitment to preserving and promoting our rich cultural heritage. Our traditions, languages, and stories are the foundation of our identity, connecting generations and guiding us into the future. By honoring these values, we strengthen our community bonds and ensure their continuity for generations to come.

I am deeply grateful for the trust and confidence in me by our community. Alongside a highly dedicated and talented Executive Team, I look forward to serving VPA with integrity, transparency, and a shared vision, focused on unity and growth across North America. We remain steadfast in upholding the cherished values and traditions of our beloved VPA.

I would also like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to our immediate past President, Mr. Dhananjaya Kengaiah, his phenomenal team, and the entire West Chapter for organizing a truly spectacular 2025 National Convention. Hosting such a mega event requires tireless dedication, teamwork, and an unwavering community spirit—their efforts were truly commendable.

As the Sun begins its new celestial journey during Sankranti, VPA too marks a meaningful transition, with the leadership baton passing from the West Chapter to the South Chapter. As I begin leading the new team effective January 1, 2026, I humbly seek your continued support and active participation in all our national VPA initiatives.

Our team is planning several exciting programs to launch our two-year term, and we hope to make these years memorable, meaningful, and joyful. We look forward to sharing our detailed vision and plans in our Ugadi message in the coming months.
