Hackathon — Global Virtual Open Innovation

The Global Virtual Open Innovation Hackathon challenges Vokkaliga tech professionals to build innovative solutions. Teams collaborate virtually and present at the convention.

Meravanige — Young Adult & Singles Meet

A platform to facilitate introductions between Vokkaliga adults and parents seeking prospective spouses for their children. A cherished tradition at VPA conventions.

VPA does not screen or endorse any profiles, guarantee compatibility, or operate as a matrimonial service. Participation is voluntary and social in nature.

VPA General Body Meeting

The cornerstone of every VPA convention — election of national officers and Board of Trustees for the next 2-year term. All paid members as of the election date are eligible to vote.

ELECTION RULES
Must be member in good standing for 4+ years (Executive) or 2+ years (BOT). President, VP, Secretary from host chapter (VPA West for 2025). Voting by secret ballot only — no proxies.

Traditional Indian attire is encouraged and celebrated at VPA conventions. Dress code guidance is provided for each day and event of the convention.
